There are four types of U.S. Army Atlantic Resolve rotations – armored, aviation, sustainment task force and division headquarters. Rotational units conduct bilateral, joint and multinational training events across more than a dozen countries. Atlantic Resolve is funded by the European Deterrence Initiative, which enables the U.S. to enhance deterrence, increase readiness and support NATO.
The Atlantic Resolve is located in Ponzan, Poland and is responsible for mission command of Regionally Allocated forces. Also, it oversees U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s operations and NATO’s eastern flank. Currently, the aviation rotation includes the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade and 1st Cavalry Division. The Armored Rotation has approximately 3800 individuals with boots on the ground and the logistical rotation has active duty reserve and National Guard Units, also known as the Sustainment Task Force. They provided various logistical support including supplies, maintenance, postal fuel and feeding all who are apart of this joint effort.
Minted in nickel and given antique brass finish, this coin is imbued with bold colorful enamel on both sides.
